Hello!

This week we were about to release intermediary updates for 8 languages.
However a bug found on the Italian version made this impossible before
tomorrow… So wait a little more! On the other hand there are also plenty good
news with new contributors, potentially a new language to be started, an
enthusiastic discussion about our future logo, the planning of our next
release, etc.

Cheers,
JM.

PS: if you feel that I forgot to mention an important news, feel free to answer
this mail with your scoop!

Team
=====

* We welcomed a new Chinese contributor on Transifex: Destine.

* We welcomed a new Polish contributor on Transifex: Filar. I also discussed a
bit with him on our IRC channel.

* I also received a mail asking to have a first build in Hebrew to evaluate the
translation effort. The build is online in our dailybuild section
(http://download.doudoulinux.org/dailybuild/).

Welcome to our project!

Organization
===========

* A fresh mail should be in your boxes about the planning up to our next
release in late May. Volunteers needed!

* The private page “Find new translators” now has many contact emails of
translators.

Translations
===========

* Mmm, didn't have time to look at them, sorry…

CDROM
=======

* A bug prevented the Italian updated CD to boot correctly.

* Tests have been conducted without success for the current DDL based on Debian
Lenny to have a single file for both CD and USB (“isohybrid”). We'll have to
wait for DDL to be ported to Debian Squeeze to have this feature and cut our
server storage by 2 (it is also simpler for users!).

Graphics
========

* Elisa launched the idea to renew our logo (see message
https://mail.gna.org/public/doudoulinux-dev/2011-04/msg00025.html). Not that it
was old ;), but this was a temporary logo while waiting for having an official
one. She showed us her first attempt and Boobaloo proposed the great idea to
have a logo contest at the OpenClipart community (OCAL –
http://openclipart.org/). Nava also have ideas of design, so things look to be
promising :).

* To start the logo contest, Boobaloo will contact the people he knows at OCAL.
As he needs a document to tell what we need (guidelines), Elisa started to draw
a wireframe of our future website. Everybody on the list is welcome to comment
and suggest when we'll know more.

Website
=======

* The Chinese translation of “DoudouLinux, the computer they prefer” has been
published.

* The page “Why should I try DDL?” and some translations have been published.

* The pages “Contact us” and “Team and contributors” have been updated.

* News were published to announce the OIN agreement and the Persian translation.

* We still have to write a news to tell that the migration to Squeeze is on the
road and that intermediary updates are (will be) available…

Communication
=============

* Richard is still writing his presentation of DDL for the Maracaibo FLISOL
event on 9-April (see http://flisol.org.ve/).

Support
=======

* Richard is asking for a standard installation process of DDL. A ticket has
been opened (see https://gna.org/task/?7372).
