Hello there!

I've started to move Transifex from Debian Lenny translation messages
(Gondwana) to Debian Squeeze (Hyperborea?). Although I'm writing scripts
to automate the work as much as possible, the time required for the
whole move is huge and I really can't tell when it'll be finished. As a
result, translations on Transifex should be halted until the move has
been achieved.

Currently I've updated most of LXDE components, most of Gnome
applications and few other applications. To retrieve the exact list,
either order the Transifex resources by date or browse the SVN history:

http://svn.gna.org/viewcvs/doudoulinux/?view=log

I manage to merge the previous Transifex translations with the newest
translations available from the official Debian packages, for every
resource and every language. The main issue is that many new PO files
don't get uploaded onto Transifex because they contain mistakes. These
mistakes are always due to plural forms, the possible reasons are:

* the plural specification is missing in file header
* the number of plural forms of a translated message doesn't match the
header specification (eg. 6 plural forms instead of 4)
* formatting characters like %d are missing either in the singular form
or in the plural form(s)

Fixing these files is a manual operation and takes a lot of time. If
you're willing to help, I'd be glad. What you need to do is to:

* get the latest SVN lang tree with an SVN client [1]
* cd into doudoulinux/lang/trunk/
* run the new script 'check-pofiles' to list the erroneous files
* fix the files of the newly updated resources of Transifex (no need to
bother with other resources yet)
* send these files back to me if you can't commit on SVN

I believe these mistakes are partly due to bogus PO file editors.
