Sometimes, I don't know the reason, the live system on the USB key takes
a very long time to boot. Maybe it can happen at shutdown too, I don't
know. Anyway you're right, the persistence file is being synch'ed at
shutdown. If for any reason your USB key is long to write, this may take
a long time.

Note that there is also a known issue: the live system doesn't make a
difference between the CD media and the USB media since it is an ISO
file in both cases. If you don't press the Return key at the shutdown
process end, the computer stays on.
