Dear developers, we had some security issues with our build server, probably due to a slipped reboot after performing security updates.
The server is still turned off; our IT staff is currently examining the file system and compares it to backed-up versions that are considered uncompromised. The whole hardening process will take some time. Saros-build will first reboot in isolation and its services will be made public again one by one. I will report on any progress here. Until then, none of the services mentioned in Stefan's e-mail below will be available. Here are your fall-back options: * Reading documentation: www.saros-project.org is not affected. * Cloning source code: See here [1] for alternative repositories. * Trying out Saros: Any other public (or private) XMPP server but saros-con.imp.fu-berlin.de . If you've got experiences to share, please post them here. In case saros-build stays offline some time longer: * Create a GitHub account, fork Saros and provide pull requests. * They can be reviewed and commented as well as Gerrit changes. * Testing, however, needs to be triggered manually. * If you already had open patches in Gerrit, you might want to keep the local branch labels so you can easily push them to your Saros fork on GitHub. * In case you already deleted the local branch labels of your open patches and want to recover them, just contact me. There is no ETA yet when it will be back online. Following services are not available: Saros-Con XMPP, PHPESP Survey, GIT, Jenkins, Gerrit and anything else. Please use your GMAIL or any other XMPP account while testing and developing Saros.
