Hi Abu Saed,
(@dpp-devel: the e-mail below lacks some context, since it is a response to a
direct e-mail and Abu Saed did not include that original e-mail. So don’t
bother deciphering it :).)
Please note: Since saros-build is publicly available again [1], the original
links from the GSoC ideas page [2] should work.
To answer your questions:
1. "Whiteboard in HTML5" for Saros 'GSoC' project will probably need a
new branch or "wbWIP" will be used ?
The branch “wbWIP” is only a label in my personal Saros fork [3]. You can think
of it as a “local branch”.
The first few commits of this branch are identical with the open patches listed
here [4].
One task is to take the commits from this “local branch” and publish them
one-by-one as Gerrit patches.
The target branch will be (as it is for the existing patches [4])
“development/wbReintegrate”.
2. Will the "Whiteboard in HTML5" project also involve moving the "wbWIP"
patches to "wbReintegrate" as well ?
See above: “wbWIP” can be considered a local branch of which
“development/wbReintegrate” is the target branch. So: yes.
3. Link for "wbWIP" patch list; is it
http://saros-build.imp.fu-berlin.de/gerrit/#/q/project:saros+branch:development/wbReintegrate,n,z
Not entirely. First, only the open patches of that list are still “work in
progress” (that would be these six patches [4]).
Second, there are still 33 more commits that are not yet Gerrit patches (the
most recent 33 commits of branch “wbWIP” [5]), but which are necessary to form
the “new” whiteboard, which would be, functionality-wise, the basis of the even
newer HTML5 whiteboard.
I know it can be a bit confusing, but I hope the information above helps
clearing things up a little.
Cheers,
Franz

Subject: [DPP-Devel] Question on wbWIP for GSoC project
Hi,
"wbOrigin" & "wbReintegrate" code is in Java.
"wbWIP" contains patches in preparation for "wbReintegrate".
I have the following questions inorder to update my GSoC proposal:
[1] "Whiteboard in HTML5" for Saros 'GSoC' project will probably need a new
branch or "wbWIP" will be used ?
[2] Will the "Whiteboard in HTML5" project also involve moving the "wbWIP"
patches to "wbReintegrate" as well ?
[3] Link for "wbWIP" patch list; is it

Regards,
Abu Saed
