Hi Holger,

in Holger Freyther's original version of that introduction material [1] EGit's
Gerrit configuration was an explicit step (and it had to be, because back then,
we were using two different repositories for cloning and for
pushing-for-review).
It looks like during Lev's endeavor to integrate that documentation into our
website, this particular piece of advice was lost.
Probably this happened while introducing the "tutorial" part of pushing to
"refs/for/sandbox" first (instead of "refs/for/master") [2].
(By the way: a step in the introduction I suspect to do more harm than good.)

So to answer your questions:
 * Is this intentional: No.
 * Are there any problems with that config: No.
 * Explicitly mentioning EGit's Gerrit features: Good idea.

If you want to amend the newcomers' tutorial section, it might be worthwhile
not to *add* yet another page, but to straighten the existing ones, e.g. by
removing that "sandbox" detour (medium effort) and a consistency check
(considerably larger effort).

Cheers,
Franz

Subject: [DPP-Devel] Gerrit Eclipse integration

Hi,

when setting up a project with Quentin I noticed that nowhere in our
documentation we seem to mention the Eclipse Gerrit Integration:

https://wiki.eclipse.org/EGit/User_Guide#Enabling_Gerrit_for_a_repository

Is this intentional? I dont know of any problems connected to the Gerrit
integration and I think it makes things a bit easier for newcomers, so I could
add it :-)

Regards,
Holger
