Summary: Consistency recovery hangs

Initial Comment:
On occasion, during consistency recovery, Eclipse freezes on the client side.
The cancel button is greyed out. The only solution is to kill Eclipse
altogether.

The user should at least be able to cancel recovery, but ideally, this problem
should be fixed completely.

This is not specific enough. The comment below has been copied to a more
descriptive duplicate bug entry (#3300579) about consistency recovery.

Message:
Eclipse can also freeze on the host side.

Here's a way to reproduce the bug:
A hosts, invites B.
B creates inconsistency.
B tries to sync inconsistency, but drops in the process (client crash).
This can be simulated by terminating Eclipse via Task Manager/kill/etc.
B comes back online within 15 seconds, thus preventing A from timeout.
-> A hangs in a modal dialog, unable to cancel the synchronization.
