Category: User Experience Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 4 Private: No Submitted By: Franz Zieris (franzzieris) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Switching followee's active file moves followers chat-cursor Initial Comment: This behavior became apparent after fixing #3455372. Scenario: Two users, one follows the other. * The follower is typing in the chat. * Meanwhile the followee switches to another file. * Before the fix of #3455372, the follower's focus was stolen, and he did not continue writing in the chat view. Now, the focus is kept in the chat view, but the cursor jumps to the beginning of the input field, thus writing "How are you?" may result in "re you?How a". ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Hans-Christian Halfbrodt (hans-christian7) Date: 2012-11-11 16:29 Message: We found the cause for this behavour. It is a not quite correct implementation of the foucs gained event handler of the textbox. We testet a quick fix locally and it worked. We will provide a patch this week. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Hans-Christian Halfbrodt (hans-christian7) Date: 2012-11-11 14:12 Message: We are two persons from the FU course "Softwareprozesse" and we are currently working on this issue.
