Well, you could just have it not do overwrites, I would think. I am already thinking about having some mechanism to allow other processes (e.g. rundll32) to be able to pass some message into the DSQD window to invoke the shutdown command. Perhaps we'd be able to do this for the restart command as well. Perhaps a generic means to post text (and an implicit 'enter') into DQSD is what's needed.
