I've thought of similar solutions... The help window is really convoluted,
in my opinion, in that it reads an HTML comment full of X/HTML from
search.htm and then writes it out to its own document.

It seems simpler to just let the help window contain the hard-coded HTML in
a separat .htm file, and then generate the dynamic portions from the search
xmls. Not sure if that would help with the annoying infobar, though :-/

Or maybe we could generate the help contents at startup using XSLT or
something, so that it's just a static document (with some dynamic elements,
of course). If we write it out to file, so we can just display it from the
local drive, it should be easier to make it SP2-friendly.
