I've thought of similar solutions... The help window is really convoluted, in my opinion, in that it reads an HTML comment full of X/HTML from search.htm and then writes it out to its own document. It seems simpler to just let the help window contain the hard-coded HTML in a separat .htm file, and then generate the dynamic portions from the search xmls. Not sure if that would help with the annoying infobar, though :-/ Or maybe we could generate the help contents at startup using XSLT or something, so that it's just a static document (with some dynamic elements, of course).
