One thing about that - There exists a prohibitive limit to the amount of data that can be written to a file via writefile().. It is something about the way that memory is allocated.. The limit is pretty small.. and if it is exceeded, explorer crashes.. I dont know what it would take to increase this limit.. I hope it is doable as this limit has caused me problems with my racetv.xml search.. I am positive the limit would be exceeded with the amount of data that would be written out for the helpwindow..

Hi Kim,

So I played around with some more - even tried to
change the zone for about:blank url and none my ideas
worked re: removing yellow warning bar on help.

It seems that it's because the help screen writes to
the html document, clears the html document, closes
the html document, and then reopens the html document
and writes new text. If I remove the reopening and
writing to the html document after it's been closed I
do not get the warning. Further more, it does not
look like there are any hooks to override for this
case.
So IHMO we need to change the help maybe so that it's
read from a local file (much like comx.xml does) then
we won't have the error.

Your thoughts?

Brent
