Can you just confirm the line number and the message description again..? And that it happens when you click on the >> button. Is it before or after the menu pops up? Do you have any 'local' files (prefs, etc)? The problem with the help text disappearing is that you need to take a new preferences.js from CVS to go with the new search.htm.
