BTW, I tried looking for undefined (using the command prompt), as you
suggested, and I didn't find anything anywhere near line 27.

The line number is _never_ right, AFAICT.

Usually it's the line after the one with the error on it, and whichever
file it occurs in, it's always reported as search.htm.

Unfortunately, I can't find any reference to 'undefined' on any relevant
line in any HTM or JS file in my DQSD directory.

(I'm doing findstr /i /n undefined *.js *.htm at a command prompt - perhaps
you could try this if you're on W2K or XP?)

Could you move them all somewhere else, and see if it makes a difference.

It might be that the fault only happens if some preference is set, and
obviously you're overriding the default preferences.
