Which version of Win 7 64 bit are you running? What is your UAC setting? The install steps I outlined for a "clean" install (8=)) aren't THAT convoluted. But they do emphasize a couple of steps required to overcome some Win 7 security checks.
I looked at the email you referenced. That was not a particularly clear installation guide. I did try the install steps as provided in the readme. They did not work as written because of Win7 security quirks. Even my steps still omit changing the security on the actual localprefs.js, etc files. Only really significant if you want to edit them from the DQSD Configure menus. Anyway, I have it working except for the 64 bit IEPLORE.EXE. And that is only a PIA because Adobe has not produced a 64 bit flash player.
