Chris,  If you have no room for a real vacuum pump,  then you
defiantly have no room for a automobile smog pump.

I plan on installing a venturi under cowl.

The electric horizon (and gyro compass) are quite costly and
consume electrical power,  but if your wallet and alternator can
handle that,  it would be the way to go.
