Hi Kevin, Go right a head and glue those pieces together. The epoxy -
epoxy/micro joint is stronger than the foam itself. One thing I would suggest
is to not let the epoxy come all the way out to the surface of the foam. Try
to keep it back a 1/16 or better back from the edge (this is easier said than
done!) so you don't have a hard spot to work with when sanding or cutting. Use
just enough to hold the piece together while shaping/cutting. Then right
before laying and epoxing your fabric to the foam surface, make up a very
small dry batch of micro/epoxy to fill this small gap. One could just fill
with epoxy, but would be slightyl heavier.
