"Good evening grubball fans and welcome to the Preseason Edition of Grubball
Tonight. My name is Dern Arnak and with me again for the 472 season is
former grubball player and analyst, Westin Tarbral. Tonight we will go over
the first games of this regular season, as well as commenting on the changes
that have developed in the AGL.

DA: "The big news is the announcement of the President of the AGL to once
again start off the season. Last year, the season was cancelled due to
continuous threats made against players, coaches, family, etc. It really
was far too dangerous for the players to compete, and after a week's worth
of deliberation, it was decided to cancel the season until the offenders
could be dealt with. We're happy to say that the combined efforts of the
Royal Guard and Border Watch, as well as simple fans and some sheep from the
Vale, have finally brought an end to the uprising centered around the
grubball teams and players.

DA: "As far as grubball itself is concerned, a reminder that the Goat Island
team is no longer a part of the Arangothian Grubball League. The Isle of
Myst has assumed their spot in the AGL. Now, most times expansion teams are
far from contenders from the get-go, but the Isle of Myst made some
acquisitions and immediately, they are at the forefront to contend for the
Arlok Cup. Back for another year, the ageless one, Gorben the Smooth. The
season off seems to have helped him immensely with his ailing body and
surprisingly, he was stated as saying he felt ten years younger. Let the
forschbowlers everywhere be warned if this is indeed the case. Beyond the
recovery, Gorben is the first grubballer in history to be a coach as well as
a player. His leadership will no doubt be priceless to the rest of the
MystHaven grubballers."

WT: "You're exactly right, Dern, and with that move, MystHaven can already
be listed to finish in the top 5, if not higher. They've got some promising
rookies from last season that are returning as well, one by the name of Rue
Denali that was just recently signed again to play as a midfieldsman. He's
tough, gritty, and seems to have a great head for the game so we'll see what
MystHaven brings to the arena this Sunday night. Also returning for
MystHaven is Anika Conrad, known as 'The Goddess'. In the few games that
were played before the season was cut short, she proved to be a constant
threat on the field."

DA: "That's right...MystHaven..The Isle of Myst..will be at
Hornath-ul-Marfed to take on Tagrana Memorial in our game of the week.

DA: "The returning champs, Drache, also look to have a solid nucleus of
players returning from their 470 Arlok Cup winning team. Magni the Bull
returns, and if anything, he seems to be a bit bigger than he was in those
games last season. Westin, what more can you add on Magni?"

WT: "Well, the nickname comes from his appetite, or so they say. The kid is
huge, dwarfing the largest guys on any team. He showed great promise in the
Drache league, but if he has one weakness, it's that he can be too nice.
The older saying goes, the bigger the man, the bigger the heart and that is
dead-on when describing Magni. Expect him to come out fired up this season,
as opposed to his more timid approach at the start of last year's shortened
season. I tell you one thing, if I'm an opposing forschbowler, I'm
absolutely terrified to see this kid charging towards me."

DA: "And we all know that you've had your share of being charged at in your
years of grubball play. As a backfieldsman from Hornath, you got to
practice against the best in the game for a couple of years."

"That I did..if you're speaking of Kylus of the North. With no disrespect
to Gorben the Smooth, Kylus is hands-down the best hinterplodder in the game
today and one of the best ever. Look for Hornath-ul-Marfed to make another
charge for the playoffs."

"Alright, folks, that's gonna do it for the preseason edition of grubball
tonight. We'll be in Hornath-ul-Marfed tomorrow night for the inaugural
game of the team from the Isle. MystHaven against Tagrana Memorial. We'll
leave you with the rest of the schedule for Sunday's games. Good
night...and we'll see you at the arenas."
