"Good evening grubball fans. We are here at Memorial Circle in Tagrana, the
site of our game of the week. I am Dern Arnak and with me is Westin
Tarbral, where tonight, the Isle of Myst was in town to tangle against the
Tagrana Memorial team. Before we recap tonight's game of the week, we will
give you a rundown of the scores from across the league.

"Game One, Galanor visiting Angelsin. Slow-going was the best way to
describe this game as it took until the fourth quinting before either team
managed to score. It was Korl the Unpleasant that finally broke the
scoreless game with 4 minutes left in the quinting and it was all the
scoring that Galanor would need as with the exception of that one point, the
forschbowlers were flawless. Final score from Angelsin was Galanor 1,
Angelsin 0. Alathar Quarflis tallied 17 kills for Galanor and Tred the Lazy
was anything but, getting a career high 31 kills in the contest.

"We move to Arankeep, where Kylus of the North and the rest of the
grubballers from Hornath-ul-Marfed were in town. Picking up right where he
left off last season, Kylus scored two first quinting points, ending with 3
and for the incredible 43rd time in his career, had a multi-point game.
Bralk Oblaslor scored once as well, accounting for the only other point in
the game as Hornath-ul-Marfed downed Arankeep, 4-0. Hornath-ul-Marfed's
forschbowler Yarnot had 23 kills.

"To Bralk Lakrath where Sweet Milly was back in town, looking to repeat and
once again make the post season. Marnuth the Regular looked to stop that,
though, tallying two first quinting points and teammate Kenglith Mintraslim
also had two points--a personal best as last season, he tallied only 3 on
the year. Mintraslim also had 13 kills in the effort. Millabratel finally
scored in the fourth quinting, putting to rest a bid for the shutout, but
Valknandra the Fair's point was all that would be seen on the board. Final
score from Bralk Lakrath, Millabratel loses their opener, 4-1.

"Next up, the Vale where the Dire Sheep were out in force and looking to see
their team start the season above .500. It took till the third quinting for
either team to score and it was Dalt the Common who first found paydirt
within the circle. Fenduth Arnak, no relation to yours truly though always
a favorite, added a second point late in the fifth quinting that iced the
game as Sresar Vale United defeated Gessihorna, 2-0. Lor the Inbred led all
players with 22 kills.

"Moving on to the Valley, Peraltok Valley. Grab the women and children,
folks, the Korthai are in town! Mhernettla wasted little time in getting on
the board, Ventzi Tarken scoring just seconds into the game on a blown
defensive play. He would later add a second point in the third, and Treb
the Hungry added another point in the fifth as Mhernettla defeated the
grubballers in the Valley, 3-1. Bralk Sarktuka scored the lone Peraltok
point and his brother, Bolk, had 24 kills in the losing effort. Fenduth the
Strange had 23 kills, tops for the Korthai.

"Onto Tralazir...~Happy Tralazir..until we meet again~. There was nothing
to sing about in this game, though, unless you made the journey from
Ruthmarna. Del Nege scored twice in the game, adding 5 kills as well. One
would wonder if Tralazir even showed up as there was nary a pulse on their
side of the field. Final score from Tralazir, 5-0..Ruthmarna United your
winner.

"Now, we go to Drache where the defending champions were hoping to start off
their season on the right foot and back towards the top. Sivriana came to
town, to the city by the Darian, looking to upset the champs in their home
arena. It didn't take long for the Dracheans to score, Magni the Bull
steamrolled right through the Sivriana defense a mere five minutes into the
game to score his first AGL point of the 472 season. Tavin Kellek,
Sivriana's forschbowler, could only look on in horror as the behemoth known
as 'the Bull' charged right at him. Sir Den Bedwyre 'and Breakfast' added
another first quinting point and it looked like smooth sailing for the
returning champs.

"Move on to the third quinting, Drache 3, Sivriana 0, when with two minutes
left, there was a collision in Drache's circle between Sivriana
hinterplodder Forg the Fartable and Drache's forschbowler Kota the Wolf.
Kota got the kill, keeping the perfect bid for the shutout but he was very
slow in getting back up. The arena fell silent for several minutes while
the trainers looked him over and finally, the Wolf was up again under his
own power He finished out the remainder of the third quinting, but was
replaced for the last two of the game. Nol the Bleeder finished out the
game, giving up the lone Sivriana point to Forg the Fartable. Quarth and
Sir Den each scored in the fifth as well and the final score from
Grobsorkat-ul-Goxairth Arena, Drache 4, Sivriana 1.

"Now, more news on the Wolf, Westin."

"Right...after the game, the Wolf reportedly was taken from the arena by the
trainers, blood stains both on the collar of his tunic as well as from the
midsection. We don't know yet what exactly happened, but the collision
itself was not too drastic. It was really like deja vu for the Wolf.
Remember back to last year's shortened season, a near identical collision
put Kota on limited duty at forschbowler. We can only hope that this is
minor, though Drache's ability to slip any information is flawless as
nothing at all can be confirmed. This injury, however, can cause a lot of
worry for the Drache fans. The offense was on its game tonight, tallying 4
points, but so was Kota in shutting out Sivriana for 3 quintings. Nol the
Bleeder looked good, but this was not a high-powered offense that he was
facing. You look at the Hornaths, the Millies, the Korthai, even the team
from MystHaven as we will talk about in a few moments...these are teams that
can put points on the board and quickly. Nol the Bleeder is not known for
his ability to stop other teams..he's only got four starts in as many years
in the AGL. Drache can ill-afford to have the Wolf out for more than a week
and this injury tonight, looks to be worse than that."

"Let's hope that he comes out of this alright, Westin. Finally, to our game
of the week, and as Westin said a few minutes ago, it was a shootout in
Hornath-ul-Marfed. The Isle of Myst..those wacky Islanders were in town for
their debut and it was nothing short of brilliant. Hinterplodder Gorben the
Smooth scored two points, and both of the newer additions scored one, Rue
Denali and Anika Conrad. They call her 'the Goddess' and Westin, another
female grubballer. Is it finally reaching the point where more will start
to get involved or will this be another rare case?"

"Well, Anika looked good out there but there is work to be done yet. She's
got the mental toughness to get past the bumps, cuts and bruises, but
physically, it was starting to show by the end of the game. She's got
agility, she's got the moves, and I can see many defensemen lying on the
ground watching her behind as she moves past them. Look for big things to
come out of MystHaven, much like we saw tonight."

"Very true. Forschbowler Ware the Vile had 25 kills for the Isle and Dornil
Sankland added another point as MystHaven wins their first game in the AGL
by a score of 5-2 over Tagrana. Nen the Unworthy scored both points for the
home team in a losing effort and Lon the Inferior had 22 kills, despite
giving up five points.

"There you have it folks for this first night in the 472 season. A few
surprises, some good, some bad, but the tables are set and the teams are
back on the fields. We look forward to another great season in the Arangoth
Grubball League and we'll see you next week from Mhernettla for our game of
the week. For Westin Tarbral, I'm Dern Arnak bidding you all a good night."
