Myles Kalley His lips didn't move but his words could be heard in her mind, and he reached slowly into his shirt. "I give you my word and give you my token of faith," and with that she feels something across her arms, but never sees him leave his seat. Upon her arms is a thin leather strap with the fang of a wolf tied to it forming a necklace. He pauses waits briefly then before she can return the necklace he gets up and heads for the door this time letting the foot fall make sound so she knows he is leaving. * Kylie jolted backwards, her hair nearly catching the flames. She glanced to the necklace and in her beliefs, it was a scared insult to give the the body parts of an elder to another. Her hands started to shake as she stared at it, shock that he could never have known pouring over her. He spoke in her mind once more, "Seek me out, I know you can find me, and I will show you I am not something you need to fear," and with that he heads out the door hitting the ground he shimmers back into the shape of a wolf and howling in the distance he is greeted in response with howls of joy from his family. At full run Myles enters the woods to wait for the sun, and sleep, and for the woman to find him. ....and so ended Myles night at the Inn. He eventually met up with the pack and roamed the woods until those last couple of hours before sunrise when the night sky seemed to be it's darkest. The pack had become used to their friend leaving at sunrise and usually slept near by. Even on this night tho on this night he stayed in the woods near to Kylie's home he followed her sent in the form of a wolf, and watched her in human form walk home. Finnally before sun up he said goodnight to his pack and melded into the ground to sleep that as of the dead. Myles Kalley had been of this kind for countless years now his embrace by the stranger who had entered Tul that night changed his life forever. His sire stole him away from the isolated village promising him dreams and riches, yet his mother warned him not to go. In the end his mother was right the lure of riches was not but a trick to ease his mind to take him away. His sire promised him life immortal rich and plentiful and Myles begged for this he didn't wish to be a lowly logger like his father and the people of his village, and so it was easy for his sire to steal him away from his life there in Tul, but what happend to Myles after that wasn't what he had expected... ... the embrace is something he wishes to not remember, and over the years he learned that his sire was better than most usually they left there progeny to fend for themselves, but Myles sire stayed and taught him the masquerade tought him the ways. There in lies his sires mistake, Myles took his teaching to heart but deep down he loathed his sire, and learning he did enough so that finnaly after time he was able to kill his sire leaving him to atleast suffer in this world of hell alone without the reminder of him being there...something happened though when he killed his sire he became stronger mentall and physiclly than he was before, but most of all he took time to think and ponder his now dead life... ...until recently when his pack roamed from the Red Forest and spotted humans again. Oh he had confronted the lonely hunter or travelling dreamer, and on occasion met up with the stumbling drunk or disgusting criminal, but only when the hunger is strong. Now tho his curiousity has brought him back to man kind, and that brought him face to face with that woman at the DragonMyst Inn, and curiousity struck hard....sleeping the sleep of the dead in the woods outside her home he waited to be found, or would he find her again? |
