. The embrace. ~I await you... I am where we left last night, and I am eager to see you my artist...~ Crysania leans against the tree near the entrance of the inn with a rolled canvas in her hands. As she hears the voice, she answers in her mind ~I am coming~ She makes her way through the forest, following the twists and turns from memory. ~ I know you do for I can smell your life, and beauty from here...~ Crysania comes to the clearing. She pets a wolf as it comes to greet her then enters the clearing and smiles, "Good evening, Myles." Myles had waited in the clearing for what seemed longer that eternity for someone who did not feel the pull of time. His head was bowed as he held a rose in both hands as if he was looking deep into the pedals of the rose.... slowly he raised his head, and with a smile and a sigh of contement he looks upon Crysania, "Good eve my artist." and he holds the rose out to her. Crysania smiles warmly and takes the rose. She breathes its scent then carefully hands Myles the canvas... "My painting...it is the essence of the sun." As the painting is unrolled, it reveals an almost impressionistic painting. Strokes of color seem to blaze with the very intensity of sunlight itself. It is once again a landscape painting, but one that shines with the feeling of a summer sun in mid-day. A red tinged tear slowly slides down Myles cheek as he is caught breathless by the beautiful painting. "I will cherish this forever Crysania..." and he takes her into a strong embrace.Does your decision hold true?" Crysania embraces her back, her heart beating faster. "I have nothing in the sunlit world except drudgery and pain. I will come and live in the night..."
Myles looks deep into Crysanias eyes and speaks with in your mind,
~forgive me for what I do~, and he gently leans in to kiss her upon the
lips ... and before she can change her mind and with his own pain building in
his mind he kisses her neck gently then suddenly with a searing pain he sinks
his fangs deep into her neck.
Crysania stiffens in Myles's grasp, her fingers digging into his back as
the pain sweeps her body. At first her mind resists...to give up the
sunlight...but she pushes it away. She embraces the night and allows it to do to
her what it will. As Myles engorges himself upon her blood she can feel a slight
trickle of blood run down her neck to her chest. Holding on to her as the pain
builds inside her, Crysania hears her heart beat quicken getting louder to as if
almost explode in your ears, fear grips at her heart. Slowly her strength begins
to ebb as she feels as though death is reaching for her soul. Crysania begins to
fear as she finds herself too weak to move. She struggles within her mind...the
instinct to fear and fight death. Is this what it is supposed to be like? She
fears. But no.she trusts Myles. Common sense is gone to her now, she has given
that up. All there is herself...and him...her mind grows fuzzy as her blood is
drained...darkness begins to cover her eyes. As Myles drinks Crysania's blood to
the very last bit her body limp in his arms he slowly lets her down to the lay
upon the ground as he holds her in his arms her pulse stopped her heart beats no
more. Blood stained tears run down his face as he had cursed someone he broke
his oath to himself he never would, and now Crysania would be his childe.
Crysania lay dead in his arms, and instinct of kindred took over Myles very
thoughts ~I'm sorry~ Anger started to take over for what he had done, and the
wolves around him could sense it, and they began to snarl taking cautious steps
away from him they had never seen him this way. Suddenly the very fangs he used
to drain Crysania he used to dig into is own wrist letting the blood trickle
from his wrist it began to splash upon Crysania's lips and tongue slowly
Crysania began to move to want to taste to feed to be alive, "Crsyania come
back to me please..." Crysania finds herself in death...darkness so thick so can't move, can't breath, can't struggle. Then, something awakens her...a taste in her mouth so sweet, so pure. She feels strength beginning to come back, but she is still so weak...she hungers for more. Myles holds his wrist just above her waiting mouth her lips covered red with blood, "Drink my life Crysania.... come to me" Crysania is dimly aware of the voice...but it is familiar and comforting. Her mouth latches onto the wrist, the fountain of this substance that has called her back from death. She feeds. She feels a tingle through her body as life...or unlife returns to the limbs. She drinks deeply...letting an unfamiliar pleasure run through her. Myles struggles, as her embrace upon his arm is already strong for it is the last grasps of one surviving. He can hear her heart beating as it begins to pick up pace, and he listens closely for he must not let her gorge herself or she will die... slowly he begins the fight with her to pull his arm free as the pain of his life being taken from her, "Crsyania stop please ... you must stop or you will kill us both, the pain runs thru his body as she feeds upon him the cruelness of creating one. Crysania hears Myles's voice as it cuts through the warmth of feeding. She struggles with herself...one part wanting to continue, but the stronger self hears the reason in the words. She pulls her mouth away and opens her eyes, gasping. The first thing she sees is Myles leaning over her and wonders why everything is so much brighter...not only brighter...more intense. Everything blazes within her sight, every detail. She wipes her hand across her mouth and looks at her stained hand fascination at the blood on them... "I drank...blood..." Myles gasps for breath as he looks upon Crysania for the first time in her new state, "Yes you have, and it is not over because slowly everything inside you but your heart and mind will soon die, and your body will expel whats left human inside you.... I am sorry." Crysania trembles slightly...almost feeling the cells within her burst and die. Her newly revived heart beats strong as her mind deals with the death of her body. "How long will it take...for my body to die?" She looks at her arm...almost in horror. "Will I look different...will I become empty inside?" She grasps onto his hand in hers, feeling comforted by the contact. "It seemed an eternity to me ... other than that I cannot tell you anymore for I do not know." and he held her close to comfort her fears. Crysania leans against him and focuses not on herself, but the woods...the clearing, and Myles. She realizes that she can know things...she can sense and smell the wolves as they hover in the woods at the very edge of the clearing. They watch her, though she doesn't have to open her eyes to know that. She smells the dirt, the plants, and the creatures in the woods. She smells the blood...her blood within Myles. She fights back a hunger. She pulls out of his embrace and stands. She holds a hand out to him, "let us walk as my body dies...I want to see the night again...for the first time Myles stands and takes her hand, but he takes the lead at first walking over to the small stream he pulls out a clothe and bends down to get it wet. Ringing it out he stands and looks to Crysania with a smile as he dabs away the blood from her lips, and chin forgetting the blood that covers his mouth and arm. Crysania smiles dazzled by the water and feels each weave of thread in the cloth as it touches her. She takes the cloth from Myles and in return removes the traces of blood from his mouth and arm. She winces then as a slight shudder passes through her...her body dying, but not dead yet. She takes a hold of Myles's hand and gently pulls him into the woods. A smile of wonderment on her lips as she sees what she hasn't seen before in the Crysania She takes a hold of Myles's hand and gently pulls him into the woods. A smile of wonderment on her lips as she sees what she hasn't seen before in the simple things of the world. |
