Fox Aisli sweat dropped. "I -swear- to you, I didn't THINK it was the women's
bathroom!" he says, looking at Loreli pleadingly. Obviously the guilt of seeing
so much naked flesh has caused him to....wait a second. He DID see a gaggle of
ladies in waiting in the buff. WOHOOO!

And tonight, the betting pool over which LiWs are wearing padded corsets will be
settled. Will Fox clean up? And the LiWs will be reconsidering the habit of
communal bathing, in light of tonight's...err, incident.

"Are you going to be okay Antoninus?" Loreli asked as she edged towards Fox,
then stooped. "What women's bathroom." She asks in confusion.

"If she weren't dead, I'd kill her!" And all the rage drained out of the poor
scribe as quickly as it had welled up. His shoulders slumped, and a single tear
rolled down his cheek as he surveyed the destruction. Antoninus dejectedly wades
into the aftermath of Charlena's amusement and starts the Herculean task of
cleanup.

"Er....nothing! Nothing!" Fox said, and grinned waving a hand slightly.
"Just...er...something. Anyway, what'd you want to talk to me about, Lady
Loreli?" He asked, giving Antoninus a look as he started crying over the
library.

Loreli sighed and patted his back. "I promise Antoninus, i'll have it back in
shape in no time. Don't forget you have the book .. you need to copy it and keep
it safe." She glanced at Fox then stepped closer to him. "It's about the queen.
Let me get our scribe calmed and get him hurrying off some where." She says
quietly.

Fox Aisli blinked...and blinked, before something passed through his eyes.
Something happened to Janessa?! What the HELL was going on in the castle in his
absence? His lean figure tightened under the black uniform, his eyes narrowing.

"Oh!" Suddenly reminded of the journal he'd been waving about in his hand,
Antoninus buried it in the bottom of his box of writing supplies, under the
stack of parchments and blotting papers and everything else. Hopefully, that
would be good enough for now.

"Take it somewhere safe Antoninus." Loreli said with a smile. "And try to hurry,
copying?" She glanced at Fox, watching him tense.

"Safe? Where exactly in this castle is it safe from the ghost?" Antoninus asked
incredulously.

"The .. the chapel?" She sighed and rubbed her forehead. "I don't know .."

"*His* chapel?" Antoninus didn't look thrilled about transgressing the Alesian's
private shrine to the Alesian deities, especially after seeing him take out his
anger on one of the LiWs this morning. "Do you think he'd mind?"

"Yes! -his- chapel. Now Antoninus. Don't worry, i'll let him know, he'll go
along with it." Loreli hoped .. lords above how did life get so complicated?

"All right, I'll go...but if he turns me into a newt, I won't ever forgive you."
And turning, the harried scribe waddles off toward the stairs toward the second
floor.

Loreli sighed and sagged a little bit, then grabbed Fox's arm as the scribe
hurried out. "Jan took off. Long story, suffice it to say, she thinks her fianc
is cheating on her because I -told- her that when it was really that bitch ghost
.. and she's ridden off somewhere and you have to find her and i'm coming with."
She nearly faints from lack of oxygen.

Fox Aisli blinked at Loreli. "She......she....WHAT?!" He yelled, before stilling
his voice and looking around furtively. He better not, Grandpa might hear him.
He moved forward to shove the door to the library closed, before he rounded on
Loreli. "Why me? The other Elites have the same connection with her as I do, why
hasn't ANYONE brought her back yet?!" He hissed, cursing Lady Luck. Damn...she
was a woman.

It could be because Janessa gave them a direct order not to follow her, and Fox
is the only one who's full of himself enough to think that her orders don't
apply to him. Just a theory.

"Because we just found -out- about it!" Loreli snapped and ran a hand through
her hair. "We've been just a little busy here, and the other Elites aren't
helping by spreading -rumors-!"

And if Cor ever figures out which RE told him that he understood how worn out
Cor must be and drew a parallel to a whore he once visited, there will be a
second round of Alesian retribution. Thankfully, he was in too much pain and his
vision was blurred at the time.

"........" Without another word, Fox's back turned as he started hurrying out of
the library, throwing the door open before racing down the corridor. "I don't
bloody believe this! That doesn't make any sense, if she left ALL of us would
know!!! Unless she...she..." He groaned. ".....fuck. Of COURSE she would."

"Wait! Loreli yelled after him, and hiked her skirt up to go chasing him from
the room. "I'm going with! I -need- to talk to her Fox, and you can find her."

"Of course I'll bloody find her!" Fox raged. "But you're staying here, you're
hurt!" His pointed gaze slanted to the lady secretary's ankle.

Loreli stopped, indignant. "I am not! My ankle is fine!" She said, planting her
hands on her hips.

The fact of the matter is, off scenes, the Elite's tended to manhandle the
queen....well, not in that way of course, but when she was being particularly
stubborn he wasted no time to hoist her over his shoulder and carry her off
anyway before depositing her back in the grounds like a child. He didn't know
what sort of reaction Loreli would give him for that, she might even tell Thelya
on him, but damnit, that was the quickest, most effective way he could think of!
"How long's she been gone?" He growled, looking back at the secretary. "And what
the bloody HELL happened?!" Oh he was mad. Furious.

Loreli took a deep breath. "Almost two days. Corv has already sent out riders
... and what happened ... I stumbled across Corv, naked, in the garden with a
woman on top of him. I jumped to conclusions, she screamed and disappeared -I-
screamed, lightning went off .. before she disappeared that is. I ... told
Janessa about it, and she went ... crazy mad.."

"Shit!" Fox hissed, before he turned to start charging furiously down the
corridor. The damned grandpa cheated on Janessa?! Speaking of crazy mad, he
looked as if he were about to kill someone, his shoulders tense and his lips
peeled back to bare his teeth. "I'm going to go get her....and then I'll kick
that bastard's ass."

"No you won't!" She yelled as she ran after him again. "It was the -GHOST-!"

Fox Aisli paused, and stared at Loreli blankly. ".................the ghost was
fucking Corvarath?" he asks, furrowing his brows.

"NO! I stopped that before it could happen! I stumbled on them, he did the
lightning, she screamed and vanished. He was weak .. there was a charred mark in
the grass! The ghost is a servant of chaos."

Fox Aisli blinked, before he facepalmed, and shook his head. "Leave and suddenly
the forces of darkness are invading the castle! There was NO ghost before, what
the HELL just happened? Did someone crack a seal or something?"

"I guess so." She shrugged. "Corv and Janessa found this place in the bowls of
the caste. A room .. opened it up and the ghost was there."

Fox Aisli sighed. "And why'm I not surprised this was her fault to begin with?"
He mumbled under his breath.

Loreli held her hands up as if to say, 'I don't know.' "I was supposed to talk
to her the night she took off."

Fox Aisli groaned, before he raked a hand through his hair. "I suppose you can't
tell me which direction she took off?" he asks. "I need to know where to start.
Even if it's just a guess."

Loreli shook her head. "Likely .. towards Brookshire maybe? Away from the castle
.. no one but the other Elites saw her leave!" She said defensively.

Fox Aisli sighed again, before he jammed his hands in his pockets. "I'll ask
Rowie and the others, but I doubt they'll tell me." He raked a hand through his
hair frustratedly.

"I don't have to go. Just go find her and bring her back? she's not safe out
there. Corv is afraid the ghost has done something to Jan .." Loreli said
worriedly

Fox Aisli nodded, gritting his teeth. "I won't come back till I get her," he
said, before he turned to run down the hall.

Loreli sighed and let him go this time, then turned back towards the library.
Already servants were on the scene, gawking and some trying to set to rights the
disaster. She urged the rest to get involved, as she did herself, and another
sleepless night was spent.
