"There is peace and harmony here. No harm will come through these walls
because love and light conquers all."

The pungent scent of the burning dried sage wafted out in tendrils and
danced with the thick island summer air that poured in through the windows.

Kylie lifted the small tightly wrapped bundle of herb toward the corner of
the room and took a deep breath as she repeated the soft prayer for the
goddesses of light and healing to bless and protect her home and her family.
Slowly she walked to each corner of each room in the two-story manor house,
softly repeating the words.

She heard the howlings of the Myles' pack of wolves and knew their pain,
their sorrow, and their confusion over Myles' disappearance. Yet surely, if
Myles was dead, their spell would be broken and they would begin to realize.
Each morning as she sought the light, Kylie asked the goddesses to seek out
and comfort her lost brothers and sisters. Each morning she sought the
strength to carry on with her cherished full life.

Kylie was a busy woman, mother, wife. She had a riding academy to operate.
She could not and would not cower within the walls of her house simply
because she sensed that in all probability Myles was not yet dead.

She climbed the spiral staircase to the bedrooms, all the while lifting the
bundle of burning sage and offering the blessing quietly and with
conviction.

"There is peace and harmony here. No harm will come through these walls
because love and light conquers all."
