"R. Ton" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> made an utterence to the drakelist gang
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi all. This is my first post to the list. I've been getting
back into ham radio after too many years away and just bought a
used TR-4C with AC-4 and MS-4. This gear is all very clean, but
I'm having problems. Maybe someone can help?

The TR-4C receives okay, but won't transmit. In fact, I can't
even get the bias to adjust to 100ma like the book says. Looking
it over, I found a resistor that's fried. The resistor is on the
TR relay board. It's fried to the point where I can't tell what
value it was. Picture of it is online at
http://rbton.home.comcast.net/drake/
Can anyone tell me the value of this resistor?

I can (and will) continue to look this up on the schematic, but this
amounts to reverse engineering which is slow going. There are many wires
on this board that go who-knows-where, and only a few components.

Many thanks for any help!
