The tube equivalent to the 6146 but with 12.6 V heater is the 6159. It usually turns up cheaper than the 6146, as the number is unfamiliar to most. I bought 4 new in the box Amperex manufactured  6159's for $30. I've seen them for even less. Incidentally, I bought them for spares for a military surplus HF amplifier which uses them, and not for my TR-3, TR-4, and the T4-X, which are tubed with the original types.

If someone wants to do the three tube 12JB6 conversion, there is a 12.6 volt heater version of the 6146.  I have a few of them.
