Am trying to remove R4A front panel for some restoration work (had no problems with T4XC, R4C, T4X). Was able to remove the "vernier" passband tuning knob in the R4A easily, but it's not obvious just how one removes the 4 position passband lever (that points at the four passband widths). 1) It could be it comes off just behind the front panel, OR 2) It could require removal of the shaft at the rear. We note a brass sleeve in the back where the shaft is connected to the 4 position switch. It could be that one is expected to lossen the shaft from the brass sleeve, and withdraw the entire shaft with the passband lever lever attached to it from the front. In my unit, nothing is currently moving freely with moderate pressure. Couldn't find any instructions in the R4A manual, so we would appreciate information from those who already successfully removed an R4A passband lever.
