Peter: Remove the PBT tuning knob, then take one hand and do your best to hold back or support the PBT PCB mounted switch assembly while pulling forward on the pass band tuning selectivity lever. This lever is attached to a long hollow shaft that slips about 3/8" inside a short thin wall brass tube that also slips over the PBT PCB mounted switch assembly's shaft. When you get the switch lever / tube pulled out of the brass tube you will see a small steel flat spring that fits inside the brass coupling tube used to provide friction to help keep the 2 shafts together when re-assembled. The PBT selectivity lever/tube sometimes pulls apart very hard, especially the first time. You can put a thin coat of lube on the tube and spring before re-assembly.
