I discovered a site that is based on maps....it's set up so that one can create a map based on interest(drakelist), and when folks join the map, they can have their location on the map indicated with a push-pin, and they can upload their picture and even some comments.
I looked at it as a way to add a bit of personal flavor to our group, since the uploading of pictures allows us to "see" each other.
