Hi Peter & all.

What we have done in the past to repair irreplaceable transformers is to
take them to a competant transformer rewinding repair company & have them
renew the windings. You provide all of the transformers specifications, ie
primary voltage & taps, secondary windings & approximate loads. They will
measure the windings, wire size etc, dismantle the transformer, strip the
windings, then replace them along with new insulation between the layers,
impregnate the core with insulating gunk & oven bake the assembly to cure
the gunk.

For example, Collins 30S-1 have paper insulation between each winding layer
which ages over time & then fails with spectacular results. I know of two
that have been re-built without a problem & there are a couple more power
transformers from other equipment types about to be done.

You may have to spend a bit of time searching for a company who is willing
to do the work, but they will be out there, probably more likely to be the
smaller to middle sized operation.

HI all:

This is a long shot I know, but thought I would try here first:

I need the following for an L-75 repair:

Power Transformer
Bandswitch, or at least the two rear wafers.

Any leads appreciated. P. Dahl has been checked already - thanks.
