"Al Parker" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> made an utterance to the drakelist gang

Hi Kevin,
Try loosening & re-tightening every screw in the unit. Many are
ground connections from terminal strips or tube sockets, and do develop
some resistance with age. Having all trimmers tweaked will give you lots
of fun.
As a "tuning indicator" you could remove the finals and put your scope
on the finals' grid connection. Then you can easily see any slight
changes as you start from the early stages. You'll have to remove the
scope to get the driver plate tuned properly, but by then you'll be almost
home. Don't try it with the finals still in place unless you remove plate
& screen voltages, as they could go into oscillation.
