I’ve decided to sell my original Drake 4-Line. It comes complete with the original boxes for all pieces, and the original manuals for the R-4 and T-4X. Even the sales receipt for the R-4 is there! I’d prefer this to go someone who appreciates the original nature of these, but if I get no responses here, it will go via the big auction house we all have heard of – hi!
FOR SALE: Drake 4-Line, the original 1964-65 version. This station consists of:
Drake R-4 S/N 0667 Good Condx, tuning Good sensitivity on 80m 40m, 20m, but falls of on 15m and 10m. Probably needs new RF amp tube. Sounds good. Front panel and case are good, with a few small scratches. Chassis is darkened with a few small rust spots.
Drake T-4X S/N 10127 Good Condx, including final tubes. Tuning dial has discolored apparently due to sunlight exposure from .175 - .325. Still very readable. Operates well on lower bands, but due to R-4’s lack of sensitivity, I have not tried it on the higher bands. Front panel and case are in good shape, chassis is darkened a bit, but no obvious rust spots.
Drake AC-3 Power Supply (working well)
Drake MS-4 Speaker Works well.
These each have their original shipping boxes and the R-4 and T-4X have the original instruction manuals as well. (The sales receipt is still in the R-4 manual). Interconnect cables are also included.

Price: $350 plus shipping, will drive reasonable distance to meet you in Texas for delivery. Or, I am driving to the Dayton Hamvention and would be OK with delivering to you there.
Reason for sale – I have a 4A line and a 4-B line, so I need to do some thinning of the herd!
