Hi Evan and Drakelist,   I am using a single 3-500z amplifier, the L75. I did have one occasion of desoldering of the socket-pin of the filament, I think it was the most inward located pin.. It happened one year ago and  I simply resoldered it. I am using it almost every weekend on 40m CW and it worked flawlessly ever since! What I noticed is that the fault was first intermittent and in the end the tube simply remained dead.
