Depends on the duty cycle of your voice. These radios have no speech
processing or compression in them at all, so that could be about right. What
can you "whistle it up" to? The only way to be sure is to look at the output
on a scope. With my voice, I typically see 20-30 watts on voice peaks with no
processing for 100 watts PEP output on any unprocessed radio.
