Hi Frank. I'm certainly not an expert on the TR-7, but did buy one on eBay last year and went through a bit of time and money restoring it to prime operating condition. The owner of this one seems to have a bit more knowledge than normal, based on some of his comments, such as having replaced the display. Seems to me that the PS-75 power supply (based on info in the PS-75 manual) is barely marginal for running the TR-7. If you operate only SSB, you might get by but CW operation at full power out wouldn't be advisable. The PS75 manual warns of increased ripple and resultant CW signal degradation at a current draw of more than 15 amps (normally about 75 watts - manual doesn't say input or output). My TR7 draws around 25-26 amps at full output (around 125-140 watts) on CW. So, guess if it were me I'd factor in the need to acquire a PS-7 or other supply if you intend to run the TR7 on CW. Of course, if you intend it for just display purposes you don't have to be concerned about that.
