Fella's
Many thanks for all your supportive and informative
emails, I guess this deal isn't too bad when you analyze the whole TR7, RV7,Mike
Fan & Filters package. Unless any of you guys know a better deal in the
US???? I have spoken to the vendor and he will include the freight component
from UK to Oz in the price, so it works like this $625GBP =$1518AUD=$1108USD
after going through all your mails it's not a bad deal when you have freight
included, works out to be around $250 AUD, I have found good TR7's hard to
source over here, well there's none over here and from the US, I also
understand that the PS75 is a little bit of a light weight, I will be running
the radio off my 43amp Cossel switch mode I use that for my old rice burner
(IC720A).
Best 73's to you all

This appears to be a nice setup. Here in the States a nice basic TR7 sells for US$400. When you add what comes with this, you're over US$1,000 easy (filters $50/ea, noise blanker $150, mic $75, service manual $40, PS75 $125, extender boards $50, RV7 $125). If you're serious about a TR7 there isn't much that comes with this rig that you wouldn't eventually want (though I'd trade the PS75 for a PS7; the PS75 is rarer and somewhat of a collectable, where the PS7 is a much better power supply). 73 Lee WB6SSW |
