Hit the send button a little too quickly!

IF the original relay was the 15k ohm coil version, there will be an 82 ohm resistor from Pin 8 [cathode] of V10b to ground and no resistor between Pin 6 [plate] of V10b and the relay coil. Later units that came with the 2.5k relay will already have a 1.5k ohm, 1/2W resistor between Pin 6 and the coil, and Pin 8 will be connected directly to chassis. Since you don't know what changes may have been made to accommodate the substitute relay, you need to add a 1.5k ohm, 1/2W resistor in series with the new 2.5k version coil if not already present.

Also, I think Maplin and or Newark in EU has the P&B / TYCO as well.

Potter & Brumfield (TYCO) R10-E1Y4-V2.5K is the standard relay in all the T-4XC transmitters. Some had a 15k British made relay, but the P&B is a plug-in replacement.

They are available from Digi-Key and Mouser and probably others.

Hi all,
I have found a T4xc, however the Transmit Receive relay is missing, and a non standard one has been fitted, adjacent to the original socket.
I wonder if the original type is still able to be sourced somewhere?
