Mike -
The MN-2000 came in all three of the Drake 4 Series finishes. It came
out in 1966, two years before the advent of the B-Line with it's epoxy
paint, and so would have had the smooth enamel finish of the R-4A and
earlier pieces. It also had the bare aluminum border around the front
panel edges.
It got the "textured" epoxy finish of the B-Line around 1968, and then
the "spackle" finish of the C-Line in 1973, along with the "borderless"
front panel paint.
So you could paint it with either enamel or epoxy if it has the front
panel border - OR - with the spackle finish of the C-Line if it has the
borderless front panel and you'd be correct!
