"n0tu/Steve" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> made an utterance to the drakelist gang ---------------------------------------------------------------------- My recently acquired R4B's PTO is not perfectly 90 degrees to the front panel? Not sure how this got this way? I'm sure Drake didn't ship it like this. I noticed this when adjusting the skirt on the dail that the dial isn't even with the front panel. Sure enough when I removed the lid and looked down from the top the whole PTO can, shaft and gear/assemble aren't parellel to the side of the chassis. Is this fixable? any cautions? Seems to tune OK? although a little grtty ...not the smoothest and a little tight compared to the it's older T4X twin which is much easier/smoother to turn?
I need to stop having so much fun rag chewing on CW with these twins get going on some serious maintenance and restoration. Oh, something else some one installed a relay in the T4X that's energized by a foot switch for spotting ..waay cool! One-handed spotting is nice! Definetly not a pair of collector Drakes but sure enough usable and way FUN to drive! Ok back to cleaning up before the boss returns.
