The L-4B relay connector has 30VDC, and ~60 mA current when shorted. Your radio _SHOULD_ be able to withstand this, but ...

It's a LOT easier to replace a "standard" relay in an external "Amp-keyer" type of box than it is to replace a soldered-in reed relay buried three layers deep in a modern transceiver.

You pays your money and takes your chances!!  :-)
