Ted -

1. Check the bias supply. A failure in the bias supply can severely damage the transmitter & power supply, even if the transmitter is in standby.

If bias voltage is ok, (verify Final stage idle current is, or can be set to, 0.1A).

2.  Try another 6EV7.

3.  Bridge C129 with a good electrolytic.

If still a problem, report back!

Hi Guys
My twins have developed a problem . The transmitter rite after warm up goes into transmit and will not come out unless I turn it off . Is this a common problem ?? It is new to me as my drakes are the pride of my fleet over here and this is very frustrating to me not knowing what or how to fix such a dilemma!!
Does any one have any suggestions??
