?your suggestion is being used already. I just would like to do it right ,have 
lots of time and effort in the c-line making everything the way it should be . 
The correct plug would be a bonus.

If the accessory jack on the R4C is like the one of the R4B:  On my R4B I power 
a digital 
readout by simply inserting a wire of appropriate diameter into the appropriate 
accessory 
socket "hole."  If it's a little loose, add a bit of solder. It's not classy, 
but it works.
