"Jim Shorney" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> made an utterance to the drakelist gang

Picked up a WV-4 with a broken meter. Being the inquisitive type, I
disassmbled the movement and found what I expected. A broken taut-band. I'm
really starting to dislike this type of meter movemnet. There seems to be no
easy way to repair it.

Anyone got a spare WV-4 or W-4 meter movement that I can talk you out of? Or
a suitable sub? I've spotted a Motorola panel meter on that e-place that
seems to match dimensionally, but I can't tell how well the scale plate would
transplant from the picture. It's a 50 uA, vs. 200 uA for the Drake meter,
so it looks like it could be made to work electrically without a lot of
trouble.

TIA es 73,

-Jim
