Hi Peter

Well, the answer is: they are available, but are 'sought after',
particularly the R4C receiver. Very recently, a friend of mine sold an
immaculate C line station - R4C,T4XC,MS4,AC4 with a few un-installed
Sherwood mods.. Went for about the price of a used Yausu FT-1000MP or Icom
IC756 Pro. Fetched about $1300 for the entire station, but had a bid of
$950 for just the receiver and mods! (Yes, it was on eBay.)

Too rich for my blood, I guess I will have to suffer with my lowly 'B' line
Twins hi hi. They are a neat radio, came complete from the factory with an
adjustable bandpass filter, so there is nothing else to buy except the
crystal if you want to work 160 meters. I got my 'B' line twins for $300
including shipping, they are in great shape - 100 percent electrically, and
VERY nice condition cosmetically! Gives me the same warm and fuzzy feeling
as all Drakes do! You see quite a few of these, and this is not an uncommon
price. Works for me.

Either way - go for it Peter!
