No.   The T-4X has four pole filters, the T-4XB has eight pole filters.

I believe they are the same impedance in and out (2K?) but perhaps someone else knows better. The eight pole filters would be considerably higher insertion loss than the four pole units, so the gain would have to be made up somewhere, probably in the IF Amp stage.

So it may be able to substitute one for the other, but it would have to be in pairs, and the gain would have to be increased.

Let us know what you find out if you pursue!
