I'm trying to interface a software defined outboard IF stage to my TR4 (1969 vintage). I soldered a 4.7pF disc cap to pin 6 of V3. The other end of the cap goes to the center conductor of a RCA cable (looks like RG-174 but I know it isn't) and the sheild of the cable goes to a nearby chassis ground terminal. The far end of the cable has a male RCA plug. OK, now you know the setup - here's my question: Can the above setup load down the TR4's IF stage if nothing else is hooked up to it? My TR4 seems a tad deaf since I installed the IF tap.
