Jim Hi Jim, Each & every time I hear that story,I am just SOOOOOOOOO grateful & appreciative of the fact that I built my own amplifier here a number of years back... It uses a pair of venerable, but "...old fashioned", 813 tubes --- I picked up three of them for (I'm blushing now) ten bucks some 17 years ago... Last year a buddy of mine gave me a box full of them (brand new, and used, both) for nothing!
