Hi to the group, Well out of aggravation and frustration my TR4 is on the shelf...now has developed internal popping noises not caused by anything I'm doing....AAARRRRGGGHHHH So I tackled the TR4C. Got it all cleaned up, everything seems to check out as much as I can. Receives fine, even appears to have a decent alignment job. Loads up fine on the dummy, or the antenna. 40 gave me 200W. However either on dummy antenna or live. After keying the mike the volume drops down. To get it back I have found that changing bands IE- 40 to 20 an back to 40 gives full volume again. Thoughts ? The only one that I have is that a sideband filter is doing something funny. Carl WD8NHK
