Evan,

Was looking at a second TR7 and wondering if its great RX capabilities could be
used for split operation.
Or probing the band for unworked contest stations while waiting for a juicy
multiplier.
Looks like external switching is req'd.

Larry,

Without looking at the schematics, I suspect it could be done, but I wouldn't try the 1544/1548 cable/adaptor.  What is your objective for doing this?

Evan

Subject: [drakelist] A naive question about TR7s

All,

Can a second TR7 be used as if it was an R7? Are there any switching issues to mute the second "RX" when transmitting?

TIA and 73
