My TR7 got put through a nice 40 meter workout tonight by virtue of an impromptu special event station operation for our radio club. I spent about 3.5 hours running on 40 meter phone with no sign of PA oscillation or instability. This, with the radio still on the workbench, sitting on it's side with the covers off, the SP75 sitting atop, and wires everywhere. I did find out that a Telex ANR150 headset is prone to RF feedback through the microphone circuit, while a Telex ANR500 is not. Strange. I really got to like those large, comfy earmuffs on the ANR150.... Been doing some work on TR7 mods too, I just haven't had time to write stuff up yet. This is fun.
