I have succumbed to the K3 craze and must sell one of my surplus C lines to
subsidize the K3 I just ordered.
It has ALL of the Sherwood modifications and a few others. There is not much
else that can be done to improve performance and extend its life.
R-4C s/n 25411: Includes noise blanker, 1.5 khz, .5 khz and .25 khz filters.
No AM filter.
Sherwood Mods include:
FPS4 Power Supply
FC4 Filter Caps
Amp4 Audio Amp
PD4 Product Detector
Mix4 3rd Mixer
CF600 CW Roofing Filter
CF2K SSB Roofing Filters
4 Filter and front panel switch kits.
FS4 FS4 Synthesizer interface.
T-4XC s/n 24258 Has a final stage cooling fan installed.
AC-4 s/n 59206 Power Supply for the T-4XC has the Heathkit Shop AC4R upgrade.
Both receiver and transmitter have additional crystals to cover 160M, 30M, 17M
and the CW portion of 10M. The dial and meter lamps have been replaced with
“cool blue” LEDs. The MS4 speaker is also included.

I'd like to sell this station as a complete set and not break it into parts.
The modifications alone represent about $1300 and added to the going price of a
C line would make this on very expensive example. If your interested and can
