Fellow enthusiasts, I have for auction, as a package, the following:
A Drake CW-75 "keyer", on a scale of 1-10, cosmetics are a 9 to 9.5. Have the original instruction manual in new condition. The reason I put the word keyer in quotes relates to the electrical operation. Keyer seems to work perfectly in low to mid speed ranges. Then, when the speed potentiometer is increased to the one o'clock position or higher, when you hit the dash side of the paddle input, there is a continuous keying, tone is continuous. Dots seem to work perfectly, sidetone works fine. The other "keyer" is just the CW-75 printed circuit board with the potentiometers and switch, and all components on the board. The keying functions seem to work properly. However, the sidetone is raspy and distorted. If you touch one of the tone terminals with a screwdriver, the tone seems to become smoother sounding. The tone isn't that important since most rigs have a sidetone monitor anyway. However, for the purist, the tone generator on the circuit board needs some attention. So somebody could conceivably mix and match all of the above into a beautiful looking and operating CW-75 keyer. As a caregiver, I just don't have the time to do the mixing and matching. So what I'm doing is offering it up to the highest bidder. Whoever bids the highest before midnight, November 15, wins the 'keyer" and spare board, owner's manual, and the shipping charges are included in the bid so you don't have to worry about extra shipping, handling, or insurance expenses. This is for US bidders ONLY, I cannot ship outside the continental US under any circumstances; I've taken too much loss by doing this in the past. Thanks for reading the posting. Enjoy those Drakes. 73, Evan

**************
Plan your next getaway with AOL Travel. Check out Today's Hot 5 Travel Deals!
